“But unto you I say and unto the rest in Thyatira as many as have not this doctrine and which have not known the depths of satan as they speak. I will put upon you none other burden.”(Rev 2:24).

We as believers ought to know the depths of satan. We should be aware of the death trap and the evil plans that satan has before us. Unless you know, our enemy’s strength and his power only then we will be able to lead a victorious life. Never put your leg without knowing the depth is the old saying. In case we fall into a deep pit by mistake what is the assurance that we can come out of it. A ship that travels in ocean has to be very careful. There are rocks and even mountains in the ocean. The captain of the ship will be carefully watching the dangers under the sea while sailing. When he sees the dangers far of he will change the direction of the ship. Titanic ship during its last voyage saw an ice berg on the ocean. But little did he know that there was a big mountain of ice in the ocean. The ship dashed against the ice berg and the unbreakable Titanic wrecked into pieces and death for many. My dear readers just as a captain take extreme care about the depth of the ocean and the things in it. Even so we should know the depth of satan in our earthly journey. As a ship travel carefully from shore to shore, even we have to be careful in our day to day life till we reach Heaven.

SATAN HINDERS OUR LIFE: “Wherefore we would have come unto you even I Paul once and again but satan hindered us.”(1Thes 2:18). Next to JESUS CHRIST it was St. Paul who laboured much for the Gospel. Twice satan had hindered the journey of St.Paul. Will not satan hindered your journey also. Today we find there are so many hindrances in our lives. Hindrance in our ministry, hindrance in our education, hindrance in getting job, hindrance in marriage, hindrance in leading a Holy life, hindrance in getting healed, hindrance in promotion in office, hindrance in selling our property, still there are many hindrance which satan will bring to put you down. I am sure we are now aware of the devils evil activities. God is our refuge who will destroy all the hindrance before us (Micah2:13).

SATAN WILL HELP YOU TO BACKSLIDE: “For some are already turned aside after satan” (1 Tim 5:15). The sad thing in the spiritual world is that many believers backslide. “Now the spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits.”(1 Tim 4:1). Satan is happy when believers backslide. How will a believer backslide. When a believer follows satan he will backslide, when we give ourselves room for any one of the satan characteristics will fall. First satan hinders our prayer life, Bible meditation and diverts our mind in different directions, hinders us from going to church, prayer meeting and fills our mind with false doctrine. Let us crave for holiness and lead a victorious Christian life.

SATAN APPEARS IN THE FORM OF AN ANGEL: “And no marvel for satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”(II Cori 11:14). Satan will come in the form of an angel and deceive people. Angel of light is an angel. Hence many during prayer say Lord bind the angel of light, which is wrong. We should know our enemy has come in an different form. We need gifts of discerning of spirits to identify evil one.

DOCTRINE OF THE DEVILS: “Now the spirits speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Speaking lies hypocrisy, having their conscience seered with a hot iron. For bidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meat which God hath created to be received with thanks-giving of them which believe and know the truth.”(1 Tim 4:1-3). Many have fallen into the depths of satan by listening to false doctrines. Satan is against marriage which God has started and separates husband and wife. Many have fallen into the spirit of lust and ruined themselves. The food that God created satan asked the mankind to abstain. Today false doctrines are increasing. We come across mass suicide in some so called churches. They give the date of coming of JESUS CHRIST. “Be not righteous over much neither make thyself over wise. Why shouldest thou destroy thyself?” (Ecc 7:16). “Let us not misinterpret the word of God, they fall into the depth of satan. A believer must be sober and vigilant to stand against the devil (1 Pet 5:8).
