JULY MONTH MESSAGE
GOD WHO CARES!
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” I Peter 5:7, our God is an enquiring God. We can cast all our burdens upon Him. Are you broken because there is no one in this world to enquire about you? Oh I’m sick in the hospital and there is none to come and enquire about me? Whom can I share my problems? Is there not anyone who’ll speak words of comfort to me? Jesus Christ can solve every one of our problem in this world today. He is the only one who understands us and provides a suitable solution to our problem, because Jesus Christ enquires us. In a very little town, there was a little boy who lost his parents when he was a child. Ever since his parents left him, he had no place to stay, poverty and hunger tormented him. So every day when the bell rings at the local church, he used to rush to alter and go away very soon. One day, the parish priest wanted to know what this boy was doing. So he went to alter and found the boy saying a sentence, Jesus I’m Peter here, I’ve come to see you. After some time the priest noticed the boy did not come to church of late. The priest heard that he was admitted in the government hospital. In the hospital, the priest asked the little boy, is there not anyone who’ve come and enquired about you? The boy said, I came to your church at 12 noon every day and said, “Jesus I’m Peter here”. So every day at 12 noon, Jesus comes to my bed side and he says, Peter I’m Jesus and I’ve come to see you. Yes, we have an enquiring God; when there is none to enquire about you, Jesus will come and enquire about you. Now let us see from the Bible, how He enquires about us.
God Enquired Hagar
God saw Hagar running alone and said “Hagar whence comest thou? And whither wilt thou go?” (Genesis 16:8). Hagar was pregnant and running alone in the wilderness. Wilderness is a place where you can’t get any support; there is none who’ll come to your need. It was in this total forsaken situation; God comes down and meet Hagar and God blesses her. Lord says you’ll bare a son and you’ll call his name Ishmael. Hagar was moved by the comforting words of God almighty. “And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me; for she said, have I also here looked after him that seeth me?” (Genesis 16:13), God enquires those who are forsaken by the people. Certainly our dear Lord, will stand by those who are in need.
God Enquires Elijah
“What doest thou here, Elijah?” (I Kings 19:9), it is true God uses us mightily in the ministry; people come to us for prayer from everywhere. Suddenly such servants of God break down at some situation. Elijah brought fire from heaven, but he feared Jezabel and hid himself in the cave, so God came down to the cave and enquired Elijah. When Elijah was very much discouraged, God revealed Himself and encouraged him. Are you very much discouraged, because there is no one to enquire about your ministry? Lord Jesus will come to your place and encourage you; He’ll encourage you to continue His ministry. God alone can solve your problem. Dear servants of God never get discouraged by any opposition; our blessed Lord will be with you always.
God Enquires Sick Man
“Will thou be made whole” (John 5:6), Jesus looks at a man, who have been sick for 38 years at the pool of Bethesda and enquires whether he wishes to become whole. This man has none to help him, when the water is stirred at the pool of Bethesda there is none to carry sick people to the place when he was. This man at Bethesda could not attend any healing meeting, because he had none to carry him, but Jesus comes to the place where he was sick and he enquires about him. When he confessed his condition, Jesus said take thy bed and walk. The Bible says the man took his bed and walked. The God, who enquired, healed him and sent him. If Jesus could visit a man who was sick for 38 years, will he not come to your bed side and heal you; you will be healed. God enquires about the one who has an evil spirit
“And he asked his father, how long is it ago since this came unto him?” (Mark 9:21), he is the only son of his father suffering from evil spirit. We find the evil spirit pushes him to water, fire and foamed and falls down. Only servants of God who has the mind of Jesus can pray for the demon possessed, we need people like Jesus who’ll enquire and pray for the possessed people.
“For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state” (Philip 2:20), St. Paul use to really enquire about people. Paul possessed the quality of Jesus for enquiring about the people and Apostle Paul had only one, Timothy who would be like him. My dear friend do we have a real enquiring attitude about others, let us ask the Lord to give us the grace to enquire about others. These days when love is waxing cold, the attitude of enquiring has gone down. Let us get filled with the divine qualities of Jesus Christ of enquiring about others.
Amen
