It is a custom to wish one another a happy New Year at the end of the year or the beginning of the New Year. Has the wish been fulfilled in your life? Has the Old Year been happy? Only God knows what will happen in the year 2013. Nothing will happen in the world without the knowledge of God. The New Year should be a blessed year in every way. We should have the peace of mind and the joy as we enter the New Year. Acts 15:18 says, “Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world”. Let us see, what are the events that will take place in the New Year?

THE YEAR OF MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S POWER: raise the dead”, Mat 10:8. The power of God will be manifested much this year. Countless mighty miracles of God will take place in this year. He commanded His disciples, go and raise the dead. God will raise many of His Children and grant them special powers to raise the dead. When people see the dead raised up, many will have their faith turned towards Jesus Christ. John 12:10 says, “Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus”. The resurrection of Lazarus brought many into the faith of following Jesus. God’s name will be glorified everywhere. Even the ordinary believer will be empowered by the power of God to bring miracles upon the people. People who have no medical remedy, who feel their sickness can’t be cured by medicine, will receive miracle healing. People, who have lost their vital organs in the body, will be renewed by God’s power. Those who have lost their limbs God will recreate and set right the deformities. Truly those are the days our faith will be increased.

THE YEAR OF EXPANSION OF GOSPEL WORK: Rev 3:8 says, “behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it”. Everyone will know the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. No one can say that he does not know Jesus. Countless soul winners will be raised up in the Country. God’s name will spread very fast in the earth. The whole world will be filled with the knowledge of God.

THE YEAR, WHEN SATAN’S WORK WILL ATTAIN ITS PEAK: Rev 12:12, “for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time”. The work of satanic activities will go to the climax. Satan with a dreadful figure will appear in many places and threaten people. Fear will grip the people, when they see this dreadful monster coming. Many will lose their faith and go away. The faith of many will be shaken. As a result of this, fear; agony; mental breakdown; will shake the people. We are now heading towards those days. Only those who have the gift of the discernment of the spirit will be able to stand against the satanic onslaught. During those days, God will use those who have the gift of the discernment of the spirit mightily. Those who have the gift of the discernment of the spirit will have no fear (II Tim 1:7). Of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit, the gift of the discernment of the spirit is the seventh gift. Let us cry out to God and ask Him to fill us with this precious gift. Let us receive this gift and defeat the satan.

As we enter the New Year, let us hold on to the hand of our Lord Jesus Christ. Lo, I am with you always even unto the end of this world. Certainly, He will be with you in the year 2013. He will be with you, everyday in the New Year. He will make you a conqueror. Truly, the year 2013 will be a blessing for my dear readers.
