AUGUST MONTH MESSAGE
PEACE
“Now the Lord of peace Himself gives you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all” (II Thes 3:16).
The prime important thing that a man needs in his heart is peace. No man can lead a life without peace. Many people in the world today resort to so many evil habits in search of peace. Many believers say, when we do ministry we have peace or when we sit in the church we have peace, after that we don’t have peace. In the New Testament, God looks at you and says, “You are the temple of God”. God wants to dwell in our hearts. When God dwells in our heart we will have peace. When we look into the above verse, we find the peace that the God gives is the peace always. God wants His children peace, 24 hours of a day. A worldly person spends money to get peace. But those who are washed by the precious blood of Jesus will have peace always. Why should man loose the peace of mind? In what situation he loses the peace of mind? We’ll see the solutions here.
SINNER LOSES PEACE: “There is no peace, saith the wicked” (Is 48:22). A sinner will never have peace, “the soul that sinneth it shall die” (Ez 18:4). Evil and sinful habits will make you lose peace. Secret sin will torment your mind. Many people lament over their past sins and get into depression. Many feel there is no remedy for sin; they brood over their sad life. As a result of this many commit suicide. My dear friend, are you lamenting because you lost your peace? Confess your sins to Jesus Christ. He has carried your sins on the cross. Jesus Christ will forgive your sins and will give you peace now. A SICK PERSON LOSES PEACE: The day a person feels sickness in his body, he loses his peace of mind. Because of one person sickness, the whole family suffers much. When a doctor says he will not survive, the whole family loses, peace of mind. Today, we don’t have medicines for all sickness, for some critical sickness medicines will just prolong the longevity in this world. In Mark 5:25, we read about a lady who suffered from the issue of blood for twelve long years. She spent all her wealth in medication but in vain. The day she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she was made whole. Jesus looked at her and said, “Go in peace, and be whole of thy plague” (Mark 5:34). She had been suffering for twelve years without peace. When Jesus healed her, she departed in peace. People who have come out of death trap of sickness are leading a peaceful life. For us to get this peace, “the chastisement of our peace was upon Him” (Is 53:5). Jesus heals your sickness and gives you peace. By His strips we are healed.
DEMON POSSESSED PERSON HAS NO PEACE: Demon possessed person suffers without peace. Evil spirits will never allow a person to have peaceful sleep. It will inject fear and terror inside the person. Evil spirits will disturb family peace and bring in confusion. Woe unto the people who fall in this trap. As a result of which many are losing their mental balance. In this situation, we need not go in for a psychiatric treatment. In the world today, we find many believers and families of the servants of God are devastated by the evil spirits. “If the son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). My dear friend, who is suffering from evil spirit; remember the Son of God, Jesus Christ is coming near you to deliver you. When Christ comes, satan cannot be there. Jesus will cast the devil out and you can lead a peaceful life. Come to Jesus for deliverance.
NO PEACE FOR BACKSLIDERS: Only the saved person will backslide. When you are saved, you have the joy of salvation and the peace in your heart. When a person stop doing ministry or when the interest for doing God’s work decreases, he immediately losses the peace he got on the salvation day. When a person losses the peace, he losses the salvation experience; it means Christ has left him. “And he wist not that Lord was departed from him” (Judges 16:20). This is a backslidden stage. Today many believers are not aware that God has left them. When God has left them, satan will enter into him. Hence beware! A backslider will have no peace. Hence repent and find out in what situation you went away from God. God will forgive those who repent. Start your ministry again. Lead a peaceful life.
“Live in peace and the God of love and peace shall be with you” (II Cor 13:11).
Amen
