The spirit of doubt is common everywhere in the world. Husband doubts his wife. Wife doubts her husband. As a result of this there is split in the family. When a pastor sees his member talking to an another pastor, he doubts whether his church member will go to an another church. In a particular church, the pastor’s wife was very angry with the pastor for looking at the ladies side and preaching. The doubt of the pastor’s wife was very great. The next Sunday, the pastor raised his head and looked upward and preached. As a result, the nerve to the brain was cut. He died on the spot. The spirit of doubt inside a pastor’s wife killed the pastor. The spirit of doubt will capture the minds of the unsaved and the so called spirit filled Christians. The spirit of doubt is the spirit of serpent. Let us think for a moment. How many in our family has this spirit of doubt. The spirit of doubt is common among so called Christians. It is prevalent in every church. A believer 8 years after his marriage had a great doubt whether his marriage was according to the will of God or not. How sad it is! If you have the spirit of doubt, you can be sure that you don’t have the Holy Spirit. What does the bible says about the spirit of doubt.

” And Immediately Jesus Stretched forth His hand , and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”( Math 14:31). Do you know, what is the name given by God to those who doubt. A man of little faith. As long as Peter looked unto Jesus, He walked on the water. When he began to look at the situation, a fear griped him. He went into the water. When you look at the situation, unbelief will enter into you. This will bring in doubt. We need not look at the situation. Don’t give room for the unbelief. Without doubting, looked to God and walk on the water. A doubting person is unfit to be a believer. Are you a person of little faith?

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass.; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” (Math 11:23) (Math 21:20-23). When we pray, we should not have any doubt in our heart. During prayer if you have any unbelief in your heart, then your prayer is in vain. If you have not removed the spirit of doubt in your heart, then what is the use of praying with doubt? Doubt is a stumbling block for your prayer. When you have doubt, your mind will waver. When you pray, “you should not have any doubt in your heart “saith the Lord.

“He staggered not at the promise of God through Unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.’ ” (Rom 4:20-21). Doubt will bring in unbelief about the promise of God. God gives a promise to man, doubt makes him not to belief in the promise of God. Doubt creates a gap between you and a word of God. The father of Faith Abraham clings to the promise of God He believed in the promise of God without doubting. Believe in the word of God without doubting. Doubt will create a rift between you and God. Every promise that God gives to you, is 100% and He will fulfil it. The spirit of doubt will make you doubt about the promise of God and push you into the darkness, which is hell.

“While Peter thought on the vision, the spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee. Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them” (Acts 10:19-20). God showed a vision to Peter. Peter had a doubt about the vision. God confirms the vision by saying to Peter doubt nothing. God’s children look at the vision and blindly believe in the vision. God showed me about him in a vision or God showed me her in my vision. God will not show a vision to fulfil the lust of the flesh. When God shows a vision, he will remove the doubt and confirm the vision through the Holy Spirit. How will I know whether the vision is from God or not? When God gives a vision, you will have perfect peace, happiness, joy and the presence of God. When the vision is not from God, you will have fear, confusion, wavering in the mind, unbelief and so on. Let us not allow the devil to cheat yourself.

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is this like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” (James 1:6). The man who doubts is like a wave that is tossed in the sea. He will never be a steady person in life or he cannot stick to a job for a long time. Let us pray and ask the Lord to remove the doubt in our heart. As a result of doubt, we have ruined our life. Because of doubt, many have lost the anointing. Let us trust  in God.
